A sweet melody for a lonely walk home on a rainy day. Drifting pass friendly faces, stuck in a purgatorial state where nothing feels new. “I was looking for trouble / ‘Til you gave me some” – sometimes we should be careful about what we wish for. However, it most cases it’s addicting as with most poisons in life. The song builds up as if the singer’s blood pressure starts to rise. He becomes somewhat overwhelmed with emotion, and even though he’s starting to resolve it, he misses his partner. Around 2:30 the song begins to breakdown and the tears’ flow starts to slowdown. “If my suspicions are true / And heaven wasn’t meant for you.” You probably loved them and they meant a lot to you. But they’re still human, they make mistakes, you make mistakes, and you can only hope that you learn from them.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Long Island, NY (no one’s perfect). Writing the words that no one wants to read (jokes on you, you’re here…I love you). The World’s Okay-est Guitarist. Living in a world of feeling nostalgic about old cartoons. I can be found at record stores, shows, and behind the scenes at King Pizza Records.
Let’s indulge on good times and exorcise our demons.
