In case you’ve been living under a rock, fellow music bloggers, Post-Trash have done something incredible!
A 51-song collection of amazing bands – some notable ones that we’ve seen on stage like The Royal They, Shilpa Ray, The Mad Doctors, Water From Your Eyes, Sharkmuffin, Grim Streaker, among others – have donated songs in the name of charity.
The compilation album is under “Name Your Price” – that doesn’t mean free. Donate a couple of bucks for a good cause and good music.
It’s almost impossible these days to find some good news. There are criminals in our entertainment and government. We have a slack-jawed, moronic, mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragger for a president.
When Puerto Rico asked for help from the US after the outcome of Hurricane Maria, Trump clearly stated that he did not intend to help. Instead, he blamed the budgetary crisis that Puerto Rico finds itself in as “mismanagement of funds and irresponsibility.”
You should know that Puerto Rico, under Section 302 of the Immigration and Nationality Act – “All persons born in Puerto Rico on or after January 13, 1941, and subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, are citizens of the United States at birth.” However, they have no representation to vote on the House floor, cannot vote in national elections, yet they must pay taxes to a country that doesn’t respect them.
If this doesn’t anger you, then you’re part of the problem.
